St Gemma's Hospice
Dear Supporter
As the time approaches to order your Christmas cards, I would kindly ask that you to consider using this opportunity to support the work of St Gemma’s Hospice. The Hospice, in association with reputable card suppliers Kingsmead, is able to offer a wide range of high quality personalised Christmas cards. I am delighted to say that St Gemma’s Hospice will benefit by receiving a minimum of 25p for every card sold.
This is great news for the Hospice. The care we provide is completely free of charge to patients, their families and carers, so we need to raise the majority of our annual £7 million running costs from fundraising events and initiatives such as this. Therefore, your support, through the purchase of our Corporate Christmas cards, would be very much appreciated.
St Gemma’s Hospice was opened in 1978 in Moortown, Leeds. It is the largest Hospice in West Yorkshire and the fourth largest in England. The Hospice provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their
families.
Care is offered to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s In-patient Unit, through our team of Community Nurses, the Day Hospice, or as an Outpatient. Carers are supported by the Hospice’s Bereavement Service.
Please do purchase these cards and so make a valuable contribution towards the day to day work of the Hospice, enabling myself and my colleagues to continue providing vital care and support to our patients, their families and carers, at a most vulnerable time in their lives.
Yours sincerely
