Scannappeal

Since 1987 Scannappeal has raised over £7 million to purchase equipment for hospitals in Buckinghamshire at Amersham, Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville. To date, one in seven of the local population has used this equipment, many of whom have been treated for cancer.

Our fundraising this winter is for:

The Cancer Fighting Fund
A long-term Appeal for state-of-the-art equipment to detect cancer, and for the treatment of cancer patients. Our second phase is for £150,000 to provide equipment for the early detection of prostate and bladder cancers.

The HeartScan Appeal
£125,000 Appeal for specialist scanning equipment for cardiac services. This will mean a 50% rise in the number of patients that can be assessed for disease of the heart, with digital images that can be shared with specialists at other hospitals.
